The app holds three things: the day-by-day itinerary, every confirmation document the trip needs (boarding passes, hotel vouchers, restaurant reservations, driver contacts), and a chat thread with their advisor that persists across the whole trip. Documents pre-download for offline viewing the moment a trip is published, so a Sardinian dead zone doesn't leave a client stranded without their reservation address.
The chat thread is the killer feature. Travelers expect to be able to reach their advisor on WhatsApp; advisors hate that WhatsApp threads are siloed away from their CRM. The TripPortfolio chat carries the trip context (Claude can pull the day's itinerary into a reply), the conversation history is searchable from the dashboard, and the traveler doesn't need a TripPortfolio account — they install the app once, your invitation logs them in.
