FAQ

Pricing questions, answered.

Most-asked questions from advisors and agencies evaluating TripPortfolio. Don’t see yours? Email us directly.

What’s included in the Claude Cowork MCP integration?
Every tier — including Advisor — ships with the Model Context Protocol server that exposes your TripPortfolio data securely to Claude Desktop. Connect once and Claude can read your itineraries, properties, contacts, quotes, and notes, and can update trips with you in the loop. It’s the same MCP server on every plan; it’s never gated behind an upgrade.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — every self-serve tier (Advisor, Studio, Agency) starts with a 14-day free trial. We collect your card during signup so the transition to a paid subscription is seamless when the trial ends, but no charge happens until day 15. You can cancel anytime in Settings → Billing.
Can I switch tiers later?
Yes, in either direction. Upgrades take effect immediately and we prorate the difference; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period so you keep what you paid for. Changes happen in Settings → Billing — no need to email support.
What happens if I exceed my AI allowance?
Advisor users are billed for overage at $5 per 1M input tokens / $25 per 1M output tokens by default. Studio and Agency users have overage off by default — you’ll hit a soft warning at 80% and a hard pause at 100% unless you opt in. You can flip overage on/off and set a hard cap (e.g. "stop at $20") any time in Settings → Billing.
How does Stripe Connect work on Studio and above?
Stripe Connect Express lets your clients pay you under your own brand — your business name appears on their card statement, and funds settle to your account directly. We charge a 0.5% platform fee on Connect-processed volume (Stripe’s standard processing fees apply separately). At $20k/mo of card volume that’s about $100/mo, which already covers half of the Studio price.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes — toggle to Annual on the pricing page. Annual billing gets you 2 months free, and is billed up-front for the full year. If you upgrade mid-cycle we prorate the difference; if you downgrade we credit the unused portion to your next invoice.
What counts as a "user" / "advisor seat"?
Anyone who logs into the dashboard to manage clients, build itineraries, or send invoices counts as a user. Travelers logging into the mobile app to view their itinerary do NOT count. Studio includes 5 users, Agency includes 20, and Network includes 50 — additional users are $35/$30/$25 per user per month respectively.
Can I migrate from TravelJoy, Travefy, or Tern?
Yes. Use coupon code SWITCH-200 at signup for $200 off your first invoice. Our CSV import wizard handles the standard exports from TravelJoy, Travefy, Axus, and Tern — and Agency-tier accounts get assisted migration where our team reviews your export, maps the edge cases, and sits with you through the cutover.
Is my data secure?
TripPortfolio runs on Google Cloud — Firestore Native for structured data and Cloud Storage for files, both encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3. Every query is scoped to your organization at the auth layer. Sensitive fields like passport numbers are encrypted at the application layer with per-tenant keys. Credit cards are tokenized through Stripe — we never store raw card data. Agency adds tamper-evident audit logging; Network adds SOC 2 Type II attestation.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover. We use Stripe Elements for embedded checkout, so your card details never touch our servers. ACH and wire transfer are available on Agency and Network plans for annual contracts.
